Arjen Roem is Technical Director for Skretting Africa. He is Dutch, but holds a PhD in tilapia nutrition from Southern Illinois University, USA.

For the past 28 years he has been working in Skretting in various positions in research, nutrition and formulation, product and business development.

​

During his career he worked and lived in Norway, France, Italy, Japan and now again The Netherlands. He is passionate about “Feeding the Future”.

​

Next to his technical role in Africa, he is leading the Global Team of Tilapia Product Managers.

​

He is married and has 2 grown-up daughters. He always finds time for hockey, cycling and cross-country skiing.
