Dr. Chris van Bussel works for Skretting Global Marketing, based in Stavanger, Norway. Chris was born in the Netherlands where he finished his Master of Science in Aquaculture at Wageningen University. Afterwards Chris continued his studies in Kiel, Germany, where he received his doctorate in Aquaculture Engineering. During his research career at different institutes in Europe and Asia Chris worked on both nutrition of tilapia, catfish and shrimp as well on the design of recirculation aquaculture systems. Now Chris works for the AquaSim team, where he is responsible for the warm water species. The AquaSim team develops a broad range of tools which help tilapia and shrimp farmers worldwide to increase their harvest, by giving advice on feeding and farming management.
